
Perth Blasters FC Participation Policy
Including Football, Futsal, Training & Tournaments
1. Code of Conduct
For Players (Junior & Adult):
- Respect coaches, referees, teammates, and opponents at all times.
- Arrive on time and prepared for training and matches.
- Wear appropriate gear, including shin guards and correct footwear.
- Follow all instructions from coaching staff.
- Avoid aggressive behaviour, foul language, or bullying.
- Play fairly and uphold the spirit of the game.
For Parents/Guardians:
- Support your child and the team in a positive and respectful manner.
- Refrain from coaching or shouting instructions from the sidelines.
- Respect all referees, coaches, players, and other spectators.
- Do not engage in arguments, confrontations, or inappropriate behaviour at any club event.
- Always use appropriate language.
- Ensure your child attends regularly and is picked up on time.
- Raise concerns privately and respectfully with club officials, not during games or training.
2. Drug & Alcohol Policy
- The use of alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drugs is strictly prohibited at all club-sanctioned events, including training, matches, and tournaments.
- Parents/guardians and adult players must not attend club events under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Any breach of this policy may result in immediate removal, suspension, or termination of participation.
- The club reserves the right to involve authorities if behaviour poses a risk to others.
3. Health & Safety
- All players (or parents/guardians for juniors) must disclose any medical conditions or allergies.
- Players must not attend if unwell or injured.
- The club provides basic first aid but is not liable for injuries sustained during activities.
4. Supervision & Drop-Off (Junior Players)
- Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is dropped off and picked up on time for all sessions and events.
- The club is not responsible for supervising players outside of designated program times.
- During any session, match, or event, parents/guardians must remain present and within a reasonable visible distance in case of an emergency or if the child raises a concern.
- It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure they hold appropriate private insurance coverage for ambulance transport or hospital treatment should an emergency occur.
5. Media Consent
By participating in Club activities, all players or their parents/guardians if under 18 grant the Club and its affiliates the unrestricted right to capture, use, and publish photographs, video recordings, and other media taken during training sessions, matches, and events. These materials may be used for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes across all platforms, including but not limited to social media, websites, and printed materials.
Important Information:
- Published content may remain accessible indefinitely and may not be fully retractable once released online or in print.
- Due to the nature of team sports, players may appear in group photos or videos, regardless of whether they are individually named or identified.
- To maintain consistency and protect player privacy, parents, guardians, and players are not permitted to publish or share group images or videos featuring other participants unless prior written consent has been obtained from the Club and all featured individuals (or their legal guardians, if applicable).
- By remaining enrolled or participating in any Club activities, you as a player or parent acknowledge and accept this media policy.
- If a player or parent/guardian does not consent to the use of images or recordings, they must notify the Club in writing prior to participation. The Club will make reasonable efforts to respect such requests, though complete exclusion from all group media may not always be possible.
6. Fees & Participation Policy
- The club operates under a “No Fee, No Play or Training”
- Players (junior or adult) who have not paid their registration or participation fees in full will not be permitted to train or play until payment is received or a payment plan is agreed upon.
- This applies to all club activities, including tournaments and special events.
7. Play Time Policy
- Play time is managed at the coach’s discretion based on factors such as performance, attitude, attendance, fitness, and tactical needs.
- While the club encourages fair opportunities for all players to participate, equal play time is not guaranteed in every match.
- The club’s priority is to develop players’ skills, team cohesion, and competitiveness, which sometimes means varied play time for individuals.
8. Breaches & Sanctions
- Any breach of this policy, including misconduct, failure to follow the Code of Conduct, or violation of the drug/alcohol policy, may result in:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Suspension from training or matches
- Immediate termination of membership
- The club reserves the right to take disciplinary action at its discretion, based on the severity of the breach.
9. Liability Waiver
By participating in any football, futsal, or related club activities, you acknowledge and accept that:
- These activities involve inherent risks, including the risk of injury.
- The club, its coaches, volunteers, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur as a result of participation.
- This waiver applies to all club activities, including training sessions, matches, tournaments, and travel.
- Participation in club activities constitutes acceptance of these terms.
10. Refunds & Cancellations
- Fees are non refundable sessions cancelled due to weather or unforeseen events may not be rescheduled.
11. Agreement & Acknowledgment.
By registering for and/or participating in club activities, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the above policy and Code of Conduct. You also agree to abide by its terms and ensure your child (if applicable) does the same.
Participation in club activities constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.
Policy Review & Updates.
This policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated as necessary to reflect changes in club operations, safety guidelines, or legal requirements.
